2nd Year Sculpture Lens students of Ulster University’s Belfast School of Art are taking over… the Catalyst Instagram!
Due to Covid-19 and the temporary closure of the Catalyst space, the students are taking it back through our social platform. Our Instagram currently has just under 4,000 followers, granting a more digitally accessible audience than a traditional exhibiton context to be as experimental and engagaing with the platform in all it’s potential as well as limitations.
Bad Internet will be a series of solo residencies, where the artists will have 24 hours each to reach out and exhibit work on our digital space through posts, stories, IGTV streams and much more. Starting on Monday the 15th of June and with a weekend break in between, finishing on Friday the 26th of June. This will result in over 30 posts of new and existing work by the students that will remain on our Instagram feed after the take over is finished. Each week there will be a line-up announced of the featuring artists and daily stories promoting the take over so watch this space!!!
