We are delighted to announce that our July Member of the Month is Luke McClean.
Luke is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Belfast, N.I.
Working between audio, performance, written word and film, his practice researches the slippery space between intention and outcome, an ever-repeating field where curiosity and creative compulsion are examined as frustrating urges rather than choices.
His work typically involves multiple responses to a selected location, reflecting on compromise and redundancy as balance to the in-person itch of tactile interaction, with each response over time finding itself a translation between the undisturbed site and the change of presence within it.
Luke recently graduated from BA Fine Art at Ulster University and will be joining the MFA course at Ulster University in 2021.
