The internationally renowned biennial of live art FIX was established by Catalyst Arts in 1994. For twenty-five years, FIX has consistently delivered an innovative programme of local and international live, sonic and performance artists to the city of Belfast and is one of Europe’s longest running live art festivals.
FIX19 (Sep 20th – Oct 3rd, 2019) engages with a mix of established, emerging, local and international artists, utilising different media and approaches to performance that help to redefine what FIX is for Belfast now and what it has been in the past. Through a curated programme full of exciting new work in different venues in Belfast city centre, FIX19 questions ideas of transnationalism through very different perspectives, gives emerging artists a unique platform and explores the world of performance-related films and video works.
