mother of pearl is a publication launched to celebrate Catalyst’s 30th year, the pearl anniversary. Taking the form of a collection of ephemera in a pearlescent envelope, mother of pearl contains the musings, scribbles, scratches, images, memories, maps, poems, and prose of 21 past directors of the gallery. Included alongside these contributions are snippets from the Catalyst archive; scans of photos and posters, CDs and sketches, and other mementos from our past programming.
