BAD INTERNET
Instagram Takeover
15 - 26 June 2020
2nd Year Sculpture Lens students of Ulster University’s Belfast School of Art
Due to Covid-19 and the temporary closure of the Catalyst Arts space, the students took back the space through our social platform. Our Instagram currently has just under 4,000 followers, granting a more digitally accessible audience than a traditional exhibiton context to be as experimental and engagaing with the platform in all its potential as well as limitations.
Bad Internet was a series of solo residencies, where the artists had 24 hours each to reach out and exhibit work on our digital space through posts, stories, IGTV streams and much more. The result was over 30 posts of new and existing work by the students that remains on our Instagram feed today, take a look!
